Mr. Fraser Robinson Dear Sir or Madam: My acquaintance with Janice Adams began in 1991 when she joined Abu Dhabi Women's college as an English Teacher. During the course of the past almost 9 years, I have observed Ms. Adams to be professional and proficient at her work here at the college. She is well liked by her colleagues and, as evidenced by public accolades that have been made over her work on the college newsletter, is well regarded by her supervisors and director. I've had the opportunity to work closely with Ms. Adams on the college
newsletter, the Corniche Chronicle (CC), since I joined
its staff in 1995. Ms. Adams was serving, as she has done since the CC's
inception, as faculty editor/advisor to a team of student reporters and
editors. Ms. Adams brought energy and commitment to her extra-curricular
work on the newsletter, which was at that time produced as a print publication.
Her leadership of the students encouraged participation that would otherwise
have been lacking and resulted in a newsletter which underwent continuous
improvement and expansion, and is still doing so. Ms. Adams' shows great professionalism as an editor. I believe she brings her experience as a teacher of English to bear while in that capacity. As editor of the Corniche Chronicle she demonstrates excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. She is able to motivate others, and she is diplomatic yet efficient at dealing with material she is given for publication. She is a meticulous proofreader and is always dedicated to quality in the final product of the newsletter. All in all, I can say it has been a pleasure working with Ms. Adams, both as a teaching colleague and as a member of the faculty editorial staff of the college newsletter, the Corniche Chronicle. I can recommend her highly in both the fields of teaching, and of publishing and/or web design. She will be an asset to any organization she joins in future. Sincerely,
Mr. Fraser Robinson
